Abstract: This inte rview was condu cted in the light of Act 30 007 enacted on
April 17th, 2013, in order to recog nize inheritance rights among membe rs of
a lawful union. Prof essor Benjamin Agui lar leads us to underst and how these
amendments have been oc curring in recent yea rs in the civil code thr ough various
pronouncement s of our Supreme Court. It also rea ssures us to the fact that our
standards have not weakened t he concept of marria ge as an institution, as many
   
cohabitation w ith the assignment of heredi tary rights to the sur viving cohabitant ,
analyzing the constitutive analysis establishing the registration requirement, and
he ends giving us an over view of upcoming regulat ions that our rules shoul d have
on family and inheritance.
